So if your here you have probably been using bbPress and have got an error you just can’t seem to get working. I have made myself a little list of troubleshooting techniques to resolve some of the most common bbPress errors. Remember that bbPress is now a WordPress plugin (originally it was not) so treat it like you would any other plugin.
Ok onto my troubleshooting list (generally in this order):
- Go to settings > forums and then recalculate permissions
- Go to the permalinks page
- Start disabling plugins one by one to see if there is a plugin conflict
- Disable my theme and activate a default theme (this is for front end issues).
Once you have tried everything above and you still can’t get your issue resolved then either leave a comment below or preferably head on over to the bbPress.org forums and create a topic.
